Cosmetology is defined as the art and science of beautifying and improving the skin, nails, and hair. This course also includes the study of cosmetics and their application. The beauty industry is multi-faceted, offering a variety of jobs. Our student clinics offer opportunities for “real world” interactions with clients, utilizing techniques trained in the classroom. This career allows for daily social interactions and creativity.
Already a licensed Barber in Massachusetts? You are entitled to a 500 hour credit towards this 1,000 hour program.

Professional Development
Prosper U is an innovative, hands-on, results-driven program designed to help create success for beauty and wellness future professionals. It includes revolutionary new methods to teach students how to “attract, maximize & retain clients.” Prosper U believes there are three keys to success in the beauty industry–business skills, technical skills and soft skills (communication guidelines and chairside manners). Prosper U combines all three by training future professionals in these fundamentals and disciplines.
